REMINDER TO PARENTS AND FAMILIES...
Tomorrow (Friday, September 11th) will be a Remote Learning Day, in which ALL students will learn from home. In addition, parents should plan for the remaining Fridays through January 8th to be Remote Learning Days, as well. We will communicate our final decision regarding that on Wednesday, September 16th. During Remote Learning Fridays, teachers will provide lessons for on-site learners to complete at home, extra time will be spent connecting with our full-time remote learners, and additional cleaning will be performed at both schools.
As soon as masks are no longer required to be worn at school, our plan is to return to our regular schedules at John L. Hensey and Beverly Manor Schools with full day student attendance, five days per week.
Parents- Friday is a remote learning day for ALL D50 students. Your child(ren) will be bringing work home with them tomorrow to complete for Friday. They will not be taking home their chromebooks this week.

District 50 Families,
We have heard from families about receiving emails from Skyward and where an email may be located. Here are a few things to check so you will consistently receive Skyward messages:
1. Click My Messages
2. Make sure you have an updated email address listed in Skyward.
3. Click the Settings Icon on the right side under the purple "My Messages" bar (next to the Hidden Messages icon).
4. Scroll through the list and select the messages you want emails for or select "Subscribe to All Emails"
5. Just a note that if you "Subscribe to All Emails" this will help you receive great info such as missing assignments, low or high score alerts/tests, and more. All you need to do is choose the settings you want emails for.
We hope this helps. Yours truly,
District 50 Wildcats

Beverly Manor's school picture day will be taking place on Wednesday, September 2nd. Please review the following information:
When & Where: September 2nd from 2:00-3:00 pm in the Manor library. *Parents can park on the East end of the building by the Beverly Manor sign and flagpole.
What: Remote learners will be given the option to arrive at school between 2:00-3:00 pm and enter through door 2 by the library to have their picture taken. Mr. Sharp will be working with the Lifetouch photographers to organize the flow of students. Parents may come to the door with their student, drop them off, and then wait for their exit after the picture. All parents and students will need to have a mask when entering the building which the student can remove momentarily for their picture. **Any students that are not able to come in will be notified of another opportunity during the retake day in October.
*In-person students will have their pictures taken on September 2nd as well, but during the school day in our normal fashion.
Thank you!

Another reminder Washington Kids Academy will be closed through September 8th. So, there will be no transportation to or from Kids Academy to John L. Hensey or Beverly Manor during that time. Thank you!
Just a reminder for all Manor students riding the shuttle in the morning should arrive at John L. Hensey no later than 7:40 a.m. in the morning, in order to make sure you can get on the bus on time for arrival school on time. Thank you for your cooperation!
