Dear Parents/Guardians, We are excited to share some incredible news! The WCHS girls basketball team has made it to the IHSA state tournament for the first time in 48 years! To show our support for the Lady Panthers, WCHS staff and students will be traveling to Bloomington to cheer them on as they compete at ISU’s Redbird Arena on Thursday, March 6th, at 6:30 PM. Due to this exciting opportunity, 8th Grade Orientation has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 13th. We appreciate your understanding and hope this allows our school community to rally behind our team during this historic moment.

It's almost that time! Track and Field season will be starting up next week, but first we want to have an informational meeting (students only) this Thursday, 2/27, after-school from 2:45-3:15. If transportation is a concern, see Ms. Barger for an informational packet instead of staying! Practices will start after-school on Monday, 3/3 and athletes must have a sports physical on file in order to participate. Any questions please email Amy Barger at abarger@d50schools.com or Makenna Beard at mbeard@d50schools.com

Manor Pick-Up and Drop-Off Tips: Cold weather = More car riders avoiding a chilly walk More cars = Longer wait times Longer wait times = The need for increased patience & tips for keeping traffic moving efficiently Tips: 1. Have your child(ren) ready to go with their supplies when you turn into our lane entrance. 2. No phones, no distractions: Pull up when there is room. 3. Our drop off lane is able to fit 10 cars, drop off when you slide into a space. Don't wait until reaching the first spot. 10 cars in and 10 cars out :) 4. Leave yourself time. Don't skip the lane and clog traffic by the front doors. No one's time trumps our students' safety. Real-life application is helpful in the classroom, so check out some of our visuals attached to our post so we can all contribute to a safer and happier day! After all, "A school divided against itself cannot stand." P.S. If someone else in your family does the drop-off or pick-up on occasion, share this info with them!
