Hey Wildcat Families, it’s time to get involved!
There have been so many new likes on the D50 Parent Teacher Club page and they would like to welcome all of our new Wildcats to this new school year.
D50 PTC is comprised of four positions (currently open and looking for members):
President
VP
Secretary
Treasurer
PTC hosts fundraisers and events in order to give back into the school.
Some events previously held were the Witches Walk, Breakfast with Santa, Daddy Daughter Dance, Arts Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, National Education Week, various “staff” days through the school year, and a Back to School Bash.
PTC takes such pride in each of these events but also in fulfilling teacher requests. It brings us such joy to help out the teachers, students, and their classrooms!
If you have any interest in joining PTC as any of the positions listed above or would like to volunteer in any way, please contact me, Melissa Perhay, at d50ptc@gmail.com.

Attention District 50 Families,
Governor Pritzker announced on August 4th, 2021 that all P-12 schools in the state of Illinois are required to enforce the use of face coverings inside their school buildings. In compliance with this mandate, effective immediately, anyone entering a District 50 Schools building will be required to wear a face-covering while inside the building. Additional details about the return to school plan and this most recent development will be shared soon.
This new development means that our Back to School Supply Drop Off for grades 1st-8th tonight from 5:00-6:15 pm at both buildings will move from masks recommended-->to masks required for all staff and attendees. A reminder that the Back to School Supply Drop Off will be an opportunity to drop off school supplies in classrooms and make the first day of school load a bit lighter.
We are excited to begin our new school year!
Attention Kindergarten Parents: Kindergarten back to school night/supply drop off will be held on Tuesday, August 10 from 6:00-7:00pm. Classroom lists/rosters will also be posted on this date to notify you of your child's teacher. We will start the evening with a short meeting in the gym with the staff and Mr Zaiser. Following the meeting, parents will head to their child's classroom. During this time, the classroom teacher will provide you with information on what to expect for the upcoming school year as far as expectations and procedures for your kindergartener. Please know that masks will be required of everyone attending this event. Thank you!
Projected regular morning/afternoon BUS TIMES for each school are LINKED BELOW. As usual in August, we ask for your patience as riders & drivers get used the new routines. The times should tighten up & become even more reliable after the first couple of weeks. There is also a general overview of the D50 Bus Plan including expectations.
Thank you & Welcome Back!
