WASHINGTON, ILLINOIS March 6, 2020 PRESS RELEASE On March 5, 2020 a notebook containing a handwritten list of several pupils created by a Beverly Manor School student that threatened “revenge” against those on the list was turned in to Beverly Manor School administration. Upon learning about the list, administrators immediately commenced an investigation which included involvement of law enforcement. Based on our investigation, we were able to identify the student responsible, speak with the student at some length, and conclude that the student did not intend to carry out any threat. Nevertheless, such threats are not tolerated and appropriate steps are being taken to hold the responsible student accountable. Parents of students on the list were contacted by administration to inform them of the matter.
