Summer EBT is a federally funded program that provides grocery buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children when schools are closed for the summer. The summer EBT benefit is $120 per eligible student for summer 2024. The Illinois Department of Human Services administers EBT with the assistance from the Illinois State Board of Education. Is your child ready for the following school year? Kindergarten, second grade, and sixth grade have health requirements that are due PRIOR to the first day of the 24/25 school year. Start scheduling those appointments now. Tazewell County Health Department has listed the specific requirements as well as their information on vaccines and school physical clinics. Just a reminder, if you would like to make an advance purchase of a wristband for Good Neighbor Days, all forms and payment are due to the school office by tomorrow, May 15th.


The Science Treasure Hunt is BACK!
All 1st-8th grade students can complete the Science Treasure Hunt this summer. It began on April 15th and ends on September 2nd. It is a web-based program through sciencetreasurehunt.org.
There are twenty-four Science sites for students to visit including: Peoria Riverfront Museum, Peoria Zoo Wildlife Prairie Park, Wheels O'Time Museum, and more.
Not only will you be filling your summer with fun activities, but 100 children will be awarded prizes by visiting sites and completing experiments. The top prize is a $500 Science Shopping Spree!

Congratulations to our State Runners on a great race weekend at the 2024 1A/2A IESA State Finals!
7th grade-Preston Davis-400m-10th place
8th grade-Alex Linnemann-1600m-Medal for 7th place
8th grade-Micah Jackson, Zane Heubi, Alex Linnemann, Preston Davis, Jonah Rose-4x400m relay-Medal for 8th place
The 4x400m relay also broke the school record today that has been held since 2012. The old record of 4:01.77 by Catton, Garrard, Strange, and Shelabarger will now go down as 3:59.13 by Jackson, Heubi, Linnemann and Davis.
Congratulations on all of your hard work boys and as always representing our school with pride! Another great day to be a Wildcat!

Attention parents, we will have an adjustment for transportation this afternoon. Manor Route #22 riders will dismiss approximately 15 minutes early today. Hensey Route #22 riders (Red Bus) will be dropped approximately 10-15 minutes later. Thank you for your patience and understanding with this adjustment.
